Niklaus von Flüe Chapel, Gletsch / Obergoms VS
The church was built by Josef Seiler in 1907/08 according to his own plans, commissioned by the Anglican Church.
The neo-Gothic church stands next to a small rocky hill east of the Hotel Glacier du Rhone. According to a note in the Seiler family archives, the four statues come from a house in Raron and were acquired by Julius Salzgeber in 1935. Other sources indicate that the statues formerly stood in the vestibule of St. Catherine's Chapel in Wiler near Geschinen.
