Winnemark is located in the northern part of Schwansen and borders the Kappeln urban area. The district of Sundsacker is connected to the smallest town in Germany, Arnis, by a loop.

The local Karlsburg manor house is a culturally and historically valuable building. A beautiful linden tree avenue leads to the manor house from the north, which is notable for its particularly old trees from 1737.

Not only is the nature here artistic, but also the residents, such as the well-known painter Gerhard Bettermann, who actually captured the truly picturesque community and its surroundings with his brush.
