Like all Jewish cemeteries in the urban area of the city of Erftstadt, the cemetery is owned by the synagogue community of Cologne, and the city of Erftstadt is responsible for maintaining the cemeteries.

The Jewish cemetery was occupied from 1877 to 1940. Today there are still five gravestones (mazewot) and a memorial stone. During the National Socialist era, the cemetery was completely destroyed and the gravestones were thrown into the Liblar pit of the briquette factory. In 1961 the cemetery was equipped with five new tombstones.

The cemetery is located in a forest directly on a railway line, the Eifel route near Erftstadt station. It is fenced, but the gate is unlocked. There is no responsible care for the cemetery.

During the war, this cemetery was destroyed. Years later, tombstones were erected here in memory.

The Schlunkweg cemetery, established around 1877 and used until 1940, was completely destroyed during the Nazi era. No gravestones remain, except for five newly erected ones and a memorial stone. Source: kuladig.de/Objektansicht/O-12466-20110623-19
