The church, decorated with six altars, was visited by pilgrims from Endorf to Weihenlinden. In 1754, after a devastating fire, the current church was built and furnished in the rococo style. The Brotherhood of the Scapular was founded around 1650 and had thousands of members by the 19th century. On the Sunday after July 19, the Scapular Festival is traditionally celebrated, with the historical organ being used. The Leonhardiritt, which has been documented since the 15th century, is performed on November 6th.
