Hiking

The Bürgl was a quarry with special geological finds. Thousands of petrified oysters were found there, which are still clearly visible on the rock walls today (see photo). At a later time the quarry became a shooting range for Altenbeurer riflemen.

The Neu- und Altenbeuern theater community today uses this significant natural backdrop and organizes theater performances on an open-air stage.
