The newcomer Bürgl is worth a visit. In this small forest, which extends over a few meters and houses a small gorge, in the summer u.a. a forest festival and theatrical performances. The scenes, such as two alpine huts, stand there all year round. The center of these performances is usually the so-called "gorge", which, due to its slight gradient for the spectators, is minimal and reminiscent of a Greek antiquity theater. As this spot narrows backwards and widens in the direction of the spectators, the view from above is a bit reminiscent of a lying cone. This shape is also optimal for the acoustics.

The Bürgl was a quarry with special geological finds. Thousands of petrified oysters were found there, which are still clearly visible on the rock walls today (see photo). At a later time the quarry became a shooting range for Altenbeurer riflemen.

The Neu- und Altenbeuern theater community today uses this significant natural backdrop and organizes theater performances on an open-air stage.
