From Brovinje it goes directly up a very steep scree path, which is difficult to manage without hiking boots (at least trekking shoes)!
At the top you will be rewarded with a great view, before you get on Skitaca on a very nice narrow trail.
This turns into a long boulder road, which is exhausting and leads to sea level.
Then again on a similarly narrow trail that, as before, up (but not so far) leads. There is, at the height of the quarry, also a possibility for swimming.
From here it is about 20 minutes to Brovinje.
