The water tower next to the Moervaart was built around 1879 as part of the domain of the Lippens castle. The tower or "stroomwaterophijscher" is built in the donjon tower style with square dark red brick in horizontal bands, consoles and diamond motifs. The pumping installation that was originally part of the water tower has since disappeared.

A flying dragon adorns the ridge of the slate tent roof. Under the roof is an iron tub, which was used as a water reservoir.
