The parish belongs to the Waiblingen Protestant Parish, which is part of the Waiblingen Deanery of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Württemberg. It was formerly also called the Great Church or Outer Church. The name St. Michael's Church has been in use since around 1950. The much smaller Nuns' Church is located in the immediate vicinity.
