Tips
Waldhouse is located in the Northern Vosges, twelve kilometers north of Bitsch and a few kilometers south of the border with the Palatinate, on both sides of the Hornbach, which forms a wide arc here. In the Waldhouse district, the Trualbe flows into the Hornbach from the right.
Gallo-Roman finds indicate very early settlement. Waldhusse was first mentioned in 1257. The place belonged to Zweibrücken-Bitsch from the beginning.
