Please check local regulations for: Parc naturel régional du Haut-Jura
The Grand Crêt (not to be confused with the Grand Crêt d'Eau) is at 1702 m, the third highest peak in the entire Jura. It belongs to the Haute Chaîne, the easternmost and highest chain of the French Jura, and is located in the Pays de Gex (Ain), about 16 km west-northwest of the city of Geneva. The Grand Crêt forms the northeastern continuation of the Crêt de la Neige. It is separated from this by a saddle whose lowest point is at 1670 m, which is why he is often not considered as a separate mountain.
