The Lenne is a 129.1 km long river in North Rhine-Westphalia that flows into the Ruhr as an orographic left and southeastern tributary. It rises near Winterberg in the Rothaar Mountains on the Kahler Asten and overcomes an altitude difference of 728.2 m on its way. The Lenne is the most water-rich tributary of the Ruhr and has a catchment area of 1,352.233 km². It flows through various landscapes, including the Sauerland Senkenland and the Märkisches Oberland, before flowing into the Ruhr in Hagen.
