Built at the beginning of the 20th century and commissioned in 1908, the 18-meter-high lighthouse at the western entrance to Honfleur served as a signal for the mouth of the Seine and replaced three other installations, namely the lighthouses of Fatouville, Berville and Saint-Samson-de la-Roque.
