The historic old town of Enns is characterized by a well-preserved medieval and early modern cityscape, with numerous burgher houses from the 15th and 16th centuries exhibiting Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural elements. A prominent landmark is the freestanding, approximately 60-meter-high town tower from the 16th century, located in the main square. The town center is further enhanced by other significant buildings such as Ennsegg Castle, remnants of the former city wall with its defensive towers, and the Lauriacum Museum, which documents the long history from Roman origins to modern times.
