The Panzerberg in the former Wentorfer Lohe training area is a "remnant" from the Bundeswehr era. It is not big and not high either, but it is very steep and from the top you have great views of the surrounding beautiful nature.

It always appeals to me, but I would advise anyone against trying to go up or down there. The photos don't really show how steep it really is. Up one would dismount with a backward somersault and down headfirst the handlebars. In addition, there are a lot of broken glass on both sides. Unfortunately, there are still too many chaotic people with too little sense.

Today I pushed my bike up and down and just pushing it up is exhausting enough.

On the other hand, it is very well suited as a running track for training à la Rocky Balboa.
