The Prado de las Pozas path connects with the path of the Trocha Real at the foot of Cerro de la Cagarruta, at an altitude of 2200. The Trocha Real runs through a large part of the mountain range and was built in the times of Alfonso XIII for the hunts hunting royals. A few meters to the left are the ruins of the Refugio del Rey, built at the same time. The route continues straight ahead through the Navasomera plain (2,270 m) and begins the ascent of Morezón up a hillside made of blocks and stone steps. The summit of Morezón (2,381 m) is usually marked with a metal cross and is a fantastic viewpoint of the glacier sculptures of the mountains. On stage appears the complete route of the Circo de Gredos with the Almanzor in the background and all its granite escorts. The beginning of the crossing of the ridge leaves the summit to the south through some stone channels and immediately descends to the Portilla del Morezón (2,296 m), the first hill of the crest, surrounding the Risco de las Hoyuelas to the Portilla de las Hoyuelas (2,288 m), below the striking tower of El Enano, which has a climb without major complications through a vertical fissure or the edge to the left, simpler but very aerial. The crossing enters the northern slope of the rope, runs along the base of the blocks that make up the summit of La Campana (2,261 m), the Riscos de la Ventana (2,361 m) and the Tres Hermanitos. The path is marked with stone milestones through the most optimal passages, without losing much height or entering complicated steps.
