The SS187 is a winding state road that winds from Castellammare del Golfo towards Belvedere and then on to San Vito lo Capo. The climb offers fantastic views of the bay and the expansive sea – especially in the early morning hours or just before sunset.

Tip: The route is very popular with road cyclists – it's a steady climb with good asphalt and little traffic during the off-season. Those who take a break at Belvedere will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the west coast of Sicily. Be sure to have your camera ready!
