Bikes allowed on. Leaves North shields every 30mins (on the hour and half past), takes 15mins to cross over to South Shields. Always check nexus website before planning on using incase of any disruptions !

i love the ferry its a great location for what ever direction you are coming in. if you are coming from the south side you can explore the north side that leads all around the coast, the north shields fish quay has had a lot of money invested into it bring a lot of people into the area,it is a great place for bike enthusiasts.
if your headed over to south shields you have many different options to explore, i like to explore the coast and head towards souter lighthouse and further afield should you choose to do so.
