The 51.36 hectare area in the Brown Jura was placed under nature protection in 1984. It includes rare and characteristic southern-facing deciduous forest communities on the edge of the Jura. This area is left to its own devices. The natural forest reserve should develop back into a primeval forest without external intervention.
