Hiking

From the hikers' car park at the end of Birkensteinstrasse, it's about a 50-minute walk to this private hut. Good for a short break before continuing on towards the Bockstein summit. Very nice hike from the Bockstein over the Breitenstein. Optionally, you can also take in the Schweinsberg.

Hiking

Small cozy private operated Alm that offers a break, then continue towards Bockstein or Breitenstein to start. The Bucheralm is from the Wanderparkplatz in Birkenstein as well as the Café Winklstüberl in the Leitzachtal. From Birkenstein the ascent to the pasture lasts 1 ¼ hours, from Café Winklstüberl about 1 ½ hours.
