The old Wanderuper Feldstein Church is probably around 900 years old. The Romanesque church is made of unhardened boulders and probably dates back to the time when no ashlar and brick buildings had been erected - probably before 1200.
In its original form, it consisted of an almost quadrangular choir with a window in each of the three possible directions, and a rather short nave with two windows to the south and two to the north.
