The "Adelsberger Schänzle" was part of a fortification system that was created in the 17th century and by Murg
on the High Rhine to near Pforzheim. This so-called “front line” consisted of different defensive installations such as Schanzen (= “Schänzle”) or Verhau en, which were connected to one another. This should stop potential attackers. Indeed it came here
