Its strategic location between the mouth of the Almeida ravine and the sea means that this area already had artillery batteries for many years.
Around the fort several historical vehicles and various pieces are exhibited.
It is possible to visit it from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and admission is free.
