The shepherd's laundry passes through the hermitage of La Concepción, visits the towns of Casa de Vega and Palacios de Becedas and shortly after crosses the AV-941 road to Becedas, which is left on the left. The mountain route starts in the town that goes up to the Peña Negra glacial cirque, one of the geological wonders of the Sierra de Béjar and a good place for winter climbing. The route continues to the right of the road to San Bartolomé de Béjar and leaves the town along a very pretty but quite steep cobbled path, marked with the milestones of the GR-10 long-distance trail. The hardest part comes after crossing the road again and entering a path with some leg-breaking slides that end up exhausting all energy, especially when the bikes are loaded with bikepacking bags. The climb ends on the road to the ski resort of La Covatilla, near La Hoya, which is also the border between the provinces of Ávila and Salamanca. The path continues straight ahead and goes down a path with stones and ditches to Navacarros, the first town in Salamanca.
