Ahlbeck is a charming seaside resort with a wide sandy beach backed by a long promenade lined with fish restaurants and ornate turn-of-the-century villas. There is a restaurant pavilion at one end of the long pier from 1898, and excursion boats dock at the other. Not far from there is the concert shell, a small open-air stage. The OstseeTherme Usedom is surmounted by a steel tower whose viewing platform offers a view of the Baltic Sea coast.
