Tips
A quarry on the western slope of the Lollarer Kopf, commissioned in 1905, ceased operations in the mid-1980s. The quarry was then left to develop naturally according to the original reclamation plans. The entire biotope protection area is freely accessible on paths (it is best to leave your bike at the entrance). In addition to the uncovered geological formations, you will find small water holes and a lot of natural wild growth, blooming in different colors depending on the season (and lots of stones ;-)). Approachable by bike both from Lollar (partly 7% incline) and from the direction of the B3.
