The castle Hochosterwitz, which has been on this rock for centuries, is one of the most famous sights in Carinthia and Austria. On the way to the castle courtyard you pass the famous 14 gates, which protected the castle and made it impregnable at that time. In the courtyard there is a small museum with guided tours and a cozy castle café. From there you can enjoy the fantastic view of the surroundings. The beautiful castle is still family owned.
