If you follow the Höllgrabenweg, you will pass the Höllstein, which is also called "Graselstein". The dramatic stone formation is associated with the story of the robber captain Grasel: At the beginning of the 18th century he and his gang were up to mischief - including robbery, fraud, robbery, murder and receiving stolen goods - in Lower Austria and the Czech Republic. In the last years of his career as a thief, he is said to have lived in a cave behind the huge granite boulder in 1810. By the way, the end of Johann Georg Grasel, as his real name was, was far removed from any robber romance: he was captured in 1815 and sentenced to death in Vienna in 1818.
