de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Anna_(Haltern_am_See) The chapel was mentioned in 1378 as St. Anna itself. Annaberg, formerly Königsberg, has been a place of pilgrimage since around 1556. The present chapel was built in the 17th century when Jesuits (until 1788) settled on the Annaberg. In 1653, under the direction of Pastor Boeker, the first prayer house was built, and in 1674, Pastor Nottebohm built what is now a simple chapel as a hall church with a retracted chancel.
