Between the "Steinerne Renne" station and the "Drei Annen" settlement, the railway parallel path follows the course of the Harzquerbahn on the slope above the track for a length of about seven kilometers.
From the hiking trail, you always have visual contact with the narrow-gauge railway track - with a few exceptions - so that you cannot miss any of the passing trains during a hike on this route.
The railway parallel path is therefore particularly interesting for railway enthusiasts who want to go on foot and still don't want to miss the sight of the historic vehicles.
But the route is also extremely attractive for all other hikers, as it leads past numerous places of mining history and offers some breathtaking views of the Drängetal.(Source: harzlife.de)
