The Malixer Alp (also called Alp Malix) is located above Brambrüesch and below the Furggabüel peak. In summer, there is an inn on the Alp where local products are served to eat and cool drinks to drink.

The Alp Malix is a cooperative alp as is common in Graubünden. It is leased by farmers who take their cows to the alp and then take back the cheese they produce. The approximately 70 dairy cows come from 14 farmers in Malix and the surrounding area. The cows are milked twice a day in the mobile milking parlor and the milk obtained is processed directly on the alp into cheese and other products. All of the alp buildings are located at around 1780 meters above sea level. From the hut to the Dreibündenstein, the alp pastures extend up to 2100 meters above sea level. The cattle enjoy the lush meadows of the Brambrüsch area from June 11th to around mid-September.

In addition to the everyday, usual alp operations with shepherd, cow and cheese, the sun terrace of the Malixer Alpbeiz is opening again this year with cold and warm drinks, rustic meat and cheese platters and, depending on the weather, fresh crêpes. On Fridays, the homemade wood-fired oven is heated for fresh bread and plaits and, on request, pizza, tarte flambée and other flat things. On Sundays, when the weather is nice, we invite you to brunch with freshly baked goods, buttered goods, spreads, grown goods and cheese.
You are always welcome to come to us for refreshments or to warm up without registering, but we are grateful for registrations from larger groups. All types of alpine products are also available in our self-service refrigerator and from us, the alpine staff.
