Simple, tasty hospitality with plenty of space to sit outside makes the alp a worthwhile stop for a variety of tours in the Kempten Forest. The hosts are very nice. The boss is a cool, thoroughbred hostess. I was addressed informally, as is customary in an alpine inn, and she announced my meal as follows: "For the young man (I'm 63) on the windy seat."
