Kumar Srečko, musician, m. April 9, 1888 in Kojsko in Goriške Brdy. He was a teacher until 1911, then he devoted himself only to music and in 1913 he graduated from the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory of Trieste, which he already attends as a teacher. From April 1913 to October 1914 and from June 1918 to September In 1919 he continued his musical studies, in particular piano, with prof. Jos. Pembaur in Leipzig. Here he successfully played in concert Bach and Chopin. In 1914 he was appointed music teacher at the Negotin boys' school. Since he couldn't perform in the war city, he went for music. teacher at the headquarters of Musica. After a year he had to join the army, where he gathered a choir and organized concerts. After the coup he lived for two years in Děčín, led the choir of the Czech minority and at the same time went to Leipzig to see prof. Pembauro. Returning to his homeland, he founded a school in Škednje and taught there until 1924. He brought together singers, violinists, reciters, organized artistic evenings and concerts at his home; was founded by the choir of the Teachers' Association for Primorska, with whom he also performed in Bologna.
