A major attraction in the Hofgarten – not just for younger visitors – is the animal enclosure. Around 200 animals are kept there, including fallow deer, rheas, pygmy goats, peacocks, rabbits and guinea pigs. Numerous ducks frolic around two ponds, and pheasants, pigeons and eagle owls (hand-reared) can be observed in the various aviaries.
