However, this is not a hangar of the Soviet Army but the flight hall at the factory airfield of the Heinkel-Werke Oranienburg, where 1935-1945 aircraft for the German Air Force were built. In 1945 the airfield was actually taken over by the Red Army.

This is the ruin of the "airport hall" of the aircraft manufacturer "Heinkel". Bombers and fighter planes were manufactured here during World War II. Forced laborers and concentration camp prisoners were also used. After World War II, the site was used by the Soviet occupation forces.
