Built in 1839 by Brunel it was (is?) the widest and flattest brick arch bridge in the world, the each arch being 39m wide. It opened up train lines to the West by crossing the Thames and still carries most trains from London to the West today ( including Crossrail). An attractive, engineering masterpiece.
