Ancient Anshun Bridge locates at Jinjiang District of Chengdu, was originally named Changhong Bridge. The bridge can be traced to as early as Yuan Dynasty, it was recorded in “Journal of Marco Polo”. It was reconstructed in the Qianlong years of Qing Dynasty and later renamed into “Ancient Anshun Bridge”. Among all the bridges in Chengdu, Ancient Anshun Bridge is the most unfortunate, it was destroyed twice by the flood in July 1947 and July 1981. In 2000, Chengdu Funan River Construction Headquarters reconstructed the bridge, after three years’ dedicated work, Ancient Anshun Bridge was officially unveiled; The new bridge is 81 meters long and 6 meters wide with a style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. It brings an ancient cultural connotation to the visitors of all around the world, at the same time, it’s a scenic bridge combining history, culture, commerce, gastronomy and transportation.
