The name of the village comes from the surname of the planter and the first owner. The first mentions of the village come from 1435. At that time, the village belonged to the Ryn starosty. In 1435, Gerlach von Meritz, the mayor of Rastębork, granted Mikołaj Cudnoch 20 trawls under the Chełmno law, with the right to fish in the Dobegast lake, with the obligation of two servants in armor and plowing "in the amount as other landowners free of owned trawls do ".

In 1785, there were 14 houses in the village. In 1815, there were 17 houses with 100 inhabitants in the village. In 1838, there were 18 houses and 111 inhabitants in Cudnochy. Due to the Slavic origin of the historical German name, in 1938 the Nazi administration gave the town a new name, Siebenhöfen. In 1939, 109 people lived in the village.
