On a hill above the Brodersbyer Noor, a tributary of the Schlei, stands the small Romanesque rock church of St. Andrew from the 12th century. At the white-plastered construction lean a black wooden belfry, which is a little lower than the church roof. Presumably because earlier the taxes were measured according to the height of the church tower. Whether the Brodersbyer reached the hoped for tax exemption, is not known.

Ein Schalenstein aus vorgeschichtlicher Zeit an der Nordwand im Kirchenschiff zeugt von einer frühen Kult- und Begräbnisstätte auf dem hoch über der Schlei gelegenen Friedhof um die wohl Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts erbaute Kirche. Der kleine, weiße Feldsteinbau hat sich ohne spätere Erweiterungen auf seinem ursprünglichen Grundriss erhalten. Am Chor und an der Nordseite des Schiffes sind die kleinen romanischen Rundbogenfenster wieder geöffnet.

Das romanische Nordportal erhielt 1842/43 ein neues Vorhaus. Zur urtümlichen Erscheinung des Gotteshauses trägt der niedrige, von einem modernen vergoldeten Wetterhahn bekrönte Holzturm vor der Westwand entscheidend bei.
