Located about 5 km from the village, the Notre-Dame du Folgoat chapel was built in 1645 on the initiative of Pierre Tanguy, Abbot of Landévennec. It perpetuates the memory of Salaün, this hermit who lived in the nearby forest in the middle of the 14th century, incessantly praying to the Virgin, only coming out of the woods to beg for some food. Ar Fol - the fool - they said. When Salaün died, he was buried in the same place and there began the miraculous story of the Folgoat: a lily bearing in its flower the inscription "Ave Maria" grew, taking roots in the very mouth of the hermit. Jean de Langoueznou, Abbot of Landévennec, was called to observe the miracle. A first chapel was immediately built ... The current chapel could also have disappeared if the municipality and parish had not mobilized in 1967 to carry out important work there, including the magnificent exterior font.
