The Urseetal is a side valley of Haslach within the Southern Black Forest Nature Park and is part of the municipality of Lenzkirch. Because of the rare flora and fauna as well as its scenic beauty, the area around the lake was declared in 1940 as one of the first nature reserves in the Black Forest.
