The Kaiserwarte is the historical name for an observation tower and the hill (Kühbergl) above Bruneck, which was named after the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I. Emperor Franz Joseph used the tower to observe artillery movements during military maneuvers in 1886, and even after the maneuvers, the tower served as a popular tourist destination for a long time.
