Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)
The single trail on the Alp del Gallo was one of the absolute highlights of some Bike Transalp Challenges. The single trail winds its way in numerous curves and even more serpentines from the Jufplaun plateau, which is located in Switzerland, to the shores of Lake Livigno in Italy. The border is inconspicuously marked by a few boundary stones at Fuorcla del Gal.
You come across beautiful alpine meadows and through densely packed mountain pines that only open one lane for bikers. The Lago di Livigno seems to be wedged between the mountain flanks, like a fjord in Scandinavia.
Thanks to the moderate incline, the trail is easy to drive in both directions.

Super downhi. From the border CH / It Rtg Livignosee down, first meadow trail S0-S1, then gravel path, sometimes slightly rough S1, over the lake narrow (now somewhat wider) exposed path in steep gravel dump, where two streams are crossed, one of which is often wet feet.
Further down without any problems on a gravel path / road to the Lago di San Giacomo.
