The Westercamp Museum is a former institution that was founded between 1911 and 1913 at the suggestion of the local scientific association for the preservation of antiquities in Weissenburg and the surrounding area, also known as the Antiquities Association.

The Antiquities Association, founded in November 1904 by the school inspector Peter Stiefelhagen, brings together historians, scholars, dignitaries from Wissembourg and the region, Alsatians and Germans.

The Musée Westercamp is the most important museum in Wissembourg. It displays archaeological finds and objects from everyday life as well as sculptures and other artefacts from the Middle Ages. There is also a collection of furniture and costumes from the 18th and 19th centuries. Century and objects from the military past of Wissembourg and the region.
