Today's hamlet of Emmerichsthal is what remains of the 1765-1768 Kurmainz glassworks with an associated settlement. In 1826 the glass works were stopped again. Some families stayed here to continue farming and forestry afterwards. For hikers it is interesting that there is a tourist restaurant in the village.
