Nick Auf der Maur was a journalist, politician and above all an integral part of the city of Montreal. He was a declared opponent of street renaming and so after his death in 1998 an unnamed alley had to be found, which now bears his name. In addition, a huge portrait of Nick adorns the facade of a high-rise building to the right on Rue Crescent. The house is about 100m from the location of the highlight, but nothing would be visible directly on the spot. From here the view opens up.
