Öræfajökull is a broad glacier-covered stratovolcano in southeastern Iceland. It is the highest active volcano in the country, with a height of 2,110 meters. The volcano is located on the southern edge of the Vatnajökull Glacier and overlooks the Ring Road between Höfn and Vík.
