Erzherzog Eugen Straße Monument

Crossing the woods or clearings of the plateau, or arriving at the top of Ortigara, Fior, Zebio, etc. you come across monuments, cemeteries, trenches, ruins, etc. all testimonies of the bloody battles that occurred in these territories during the First World War.
Along the routes there are always signs indicating historically important locations and this allows the hiker or biker to visit interesting places that enrich us culturally with short stops. For example, being a lieutenant in the Alpine troops (during military service), I sometimes take these testimonies as an opportunity to reflect on those horrible events that led to the death of many young people.
