The names of the Brixen soldiers who died in World War I and II are on the memorial to the fallen

The Klausen Rifle Company was keen to renovate the aging war memorial to the Klausen residents who died in the First and Second World Wars, as the facade was partially crumbling and the names of the fallen were no longer legible. It was therefore decided that this memorial should be restored by the restorer Egon Lanthaler.
In order to finance this project, part of the amount was contributed by the Sparkasse Foundation, and the rest would be collected through the Seppele Kirchtig.

The "Seppele Kirchtig" is a morning pint that has been organized for three years by some residents of St. Josefstrasse in Klausen. However, since it was a great effort to organize this festival alone, the Klausen Rifle Company was asked whether they would like to take over the organization of this festival. The festival always takes place on the Saturday before or after March 19th, which is also known as "St. Joseph's Day".

St. Joseph is considered the patron saint of workers, primarily carpenters, married couples and families. He is also the patron saint of Tyrol and thus St. Joseph's Day is a public holiday throughout the country. Unfortunately, it was abolished by the decree of March 5th, 1977 due to the illegal annexation of Italy and is therefore no longer a recognized public holiday. The reintroduction of this Catholic holiday would be an enrichment for South Tyrol and a visible commitment to our Tyrolean identity.
