Since May 2022, the art sculpture "Evolution" has been located directly at the entrance to the Autobau Erlebniswelt. Six figures by the artist team "Giants made of Steel" from Osdorf in Northern Germany show the development of humans. Since evolution is never complete and is always going on, the last figure refers to the human urge to move around sitting as comfortably as possible, motorized and individually. The installation was realized on a seesaw by Mario Botta. A Sbarro LO had its place here for years. "The new work of art is very well received," explains Fredy Alexander Lienhard, curator and member of the board of directors of the Autobau Erlebniswelt. It is mainly cyclists who like to take a break here and look at the installation. No wonder, since the sculpture is right on the Lake Constance cycle path."Giants made of steel" only produce their works to order, on the Autobau site you will find not only the "Evolution" but also a Ferrari GTO directly at the entrance to the Clay Regazzoni Honor Room and the Porsche 356 including driver James Dean at the museum entrance.
