Beautiful route through magical forests. The start in Saig makes for a nice circuit. You don't have to go all the way down to Lenzkirch, but you can cross at the height of the Alt-Urach ruins. The following climb is not entirely without problems, but there are nice rest areas at the Hierakreuz with a beautiful view or at the Hierabrunnen (with tables and a shelter). After the "50 shades of green", the views from the high path at the Balzenwaldhütte and especially from the Hochfirst are magnificent. Don't miss the Black Forest cake there!

The route doesn't require much sure-footedness; the paths are wide and easy to walk. But one half is only downhill, the other half is only uphill :-)
